Data Deletion Instructions

Last updated: 20 May 2026

You can ask ASEGYA to delete your account and the personal data associated with it — including data linked to a Facebook or other third-party login — at any time, free of charge. This page explains exactly how.

01How to request deletion

Send us an email from the address associated with your ASEGYA account (or the one you used to contact us):

  1. Use the subject line “Data Deletion Request” so we can route it quickly.
  2. Tell us what to delete — your full account, or a specific item (for example, a complaint you filed). If you have a reference or tracking code, include it.
  3. Confirm your identity — send the request from the email on the account. If you signed up through Facebook, Google or another provider, mention which one so we can match the record.
  4. Send it. We acknowledge within 3 working days and complete deletion within 30 days, then confirm by email.
In-app shortcut. If you use an ASEGYA app with a signed-in account, you can also open Profile → Account → Delete my data and follow the prompts — this submits the same request automatically.

02If you signed in with Facebook

When you connect a Facebook account to ASEGYA, we receive only the basic profile fields you approved (such as name and email). To remove that connection and its data:

Removing the app on Facebook alone stops future sharing; emailing us is what triggers deletion of records we already hold.

03What gets deleted

On completion of a full-account request we delete or irreversibly anonymise:

04What we may need to keep

A small amount of data may be retained after deletion where the law requires it or where it cannot identify you:

Once any required retention period ends, that data is deleted on its normal schedule.

05If your data sits inside a client’s platform

ASEGYA operates some software on behalf of organisations (for example, a city or an enterprise). If your data was provided to such an organisation, that organisation is the data controller. We will forward your request to them and support them in actioning it, but the final decision and timeline rest with that controller under their own policy.

06Timeline & confirmation

If a request needs more time (for example, a complex case), we will tell you why and give a revised date.
